Overview

The objective of this program is to combine the skills learned through the A+ Computer Technician, Network Professional (+) and the Microsoft MCSA/MCSE Program. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to: Build, repair and upgrade personal computers; employ a working understanding of different network standards and the advantages and disadvantages of each; use networking tools and utilities to troubleshoot common network infrastructure issues; implement, manage, maintain, and provision services and infrastructure in a Windows Server 2012 environment, and configure services necessary to deploy, manage and maintain a Windows Server 2012 infrastructure, such as advanced networking services, Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), identity management, rights management, Federated services, network load balancing, failover clustering, business continuity and disaster recovery. Students successfully completing The Network Technician Program will have the knowledge and ability to perform the job of an entry-level administrator of a Windows Server 2012 local area network.

Note: For this program, the graduate must sit for and pass the following exams in order to become certified:

CompTIA Exams:

  • Exam 220-901: CompTIA A+ Exam 1
  • Exam 220-902: CompTIA A+ Exam 2
  • Exam N10-006: CompTIA Network+ Exam

  • Exam:70-410 MCSA: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012
  • Exam:70-411 MCSA: Administering Windows Server 2012
  • Exam:70-412 MCSA: Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services
  • Exam:70-413 MCSE: Designing and Implementing a Server Infrastructure
  • Exam:70-414 MCSE: Implementing an Advanced Server Infrastructure
